Wanderlust Oahu Festival, Friday, 2/24/17-Sunday, 2/16/17, 7:00 am-4:00 pm, Turtle Bay Resort. Oahu Events February Eddie Aikau

32nd Annual Quiksilver in Memory of Eddie Aikau at Waimea Bay, sponsored by Quiksilver. The holding period continues though Tuesday, 2/28/17 and if the waves get big enough they'll hold the contest. Word spreads pretty quickly on the island if it's gonna be held with rumors of the possibility in the days ahead. This is a once in a lifetime event not to be missed. More info here

Fireworks on the beach Friday nights at 7:45 pm in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village

HawaiiSlam's First Thursdays Slam Poetry Competition, Thursday, 2/2/17, 8:30-11:30pm, $3 before 8:30, $5 after. $100 prize to the winner. Hosted & located at Fresh Cafe Warehouse aka “Loft in Space” in Kakaako. Also features live music, live painters, MC’s, national touring poets & DJ’s. Eat The Street January events Honolulu

Eat the Street, the last Friday of the month on 2/24/17, 4:00-10:00 pm, 1011 Ala Moana (old Fisherman's Wharf location); more info here.

There is also a limited Daily Street Grindz w/ about 5-7 food trucks during the day & evening. It's great to run by there & get something to eat for lunch. Take cash. Check the Facebook page to see who's there that day. Kau Kau Grill has THE best ribs-the meat just falls off the bone. Lots of sweet sauce & it's super juicy. I'm from Chicago so I know my ribs :)


Art on the Zoo Fence-Artists hang their works on the wall fence of the Honolulu Zoo on Monsarrat Ave.Happens on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00am-4:00pm. More info here



Mai Tai Bar-Live local music most weekends at Ala Moana Shopping Center, 4th fl with acts performing in their open lanai style bar. Very popular Pau Hana style bar with locals, tourists & military alike.


Free Hawaiian cultural activities at the Royal Hawaiian Center most days such as hula, ukulele and lei making. See website for schedule details

 

Hula at Kuhio Beach Park daily at 6:30 pm during the spring & summer; 6:00 pm in the winter. If the weather is bad it will not be held. Get there early to get a seat.

 

Na Mele O Ko'Olina is a monthly event at the Marriott Ko'Olina Beach Club; music will be on the Great Lawn along Lagoon 3, Saturday, 2/11/17, 9:00 am-5:00 pm.
