Waikiki Holiday Parade, Friday, 11/25/16, 7:00 pm. Commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Also honors the victims and veterans. Parade will go through Waikiki starting at Fort Derussy and ending at Kapiolani Park.More info here

Vans Triple Crown of Surfing North Shore of Oahu

Vans Triple Crown, Saturday,11/12/16-Tuesday, 12/20/16. Surfing contest of 3 events held on the north shore at 3 different surf breaks-Haleiwa beach, Sunset beach and Pipeline. The person with the best scores overall wins the "triple crown".

Please note that the events are not held everyday within the time period stated above. This is known as the holding period or range in which the contests can take place. The days on which the conditions are best are when the competition will be held.

Oahu Events November Honolulu Fashion Week

Kai Waikiki Ocean Art Show, 10/19/16-11/2/16, 12:00 pm-6:00 pm at the Moana Surfrider featuring the INCREDIBLE work of artist Patrick Ching. I'm biased because he was my art teacher but it's true. Watch him create 5-6 paintings live. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Waikiki Aquarium. More details & info on how to bid here


Honolulu Fashion Week, Thursday, 11/10/16-Saturday, 11/12/16 at the Hawaii Convention Center. Various shows are at different times and are free to attend but reserved seating is $25. More info here


30th Islandwide Christmas Crafts & Food Expo at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Holiday craft expo featuring handmade goods from throughoutl the Hawaiian islands. Entertainment and food will be available as well. More info here

Art After Dark at the Honolulu Museum of Art Pictured Above


First Fridays-First Friday of the month that features an art gallery walk, restaurants, shops & live entertainment in the Chinatown area from 6:00pm-9:00pm but the lounges & clubs in the area stay open later. More info here and on their Facebook page here

HawaiiSlam's First Thursdays Slam Poetry Competition, Thursday, 11/3/16, 8:30-11:30pm, $3 before 8:30, $5 after. $100 prize to the winner. Hosted & located at Fresh Cafe Warehouse aka “Loft in Space” in Kakaako. Also features live music, live painters, MC’s, national touring poets & DJ’s. There is also a limited Daily Street Grindz w/ about 5-7 food trucks during the day & evening. It's great to run by there & get something to eat for lunch. Take cash.

Check the Facebook page to see who's there that day. Kau Kau Grill has THE best ribs-the meat just falls off the bone. Lots of sweet sauce & it's super juicy. I'm from Chicago so I know my ribs :)

Art on the Zoo Fence-Artists hang their works on the wall fence of the Honolulu Zoo on Monsarrat Ave. Happens on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00am-4:00pm. More info here

Mai Tai Bar-Live local music most weekends at Ala Moana Shopping Center, 4th fl with acts performing in their open lanai style bar. Very popular Pau Hana style bar with locals, tourists & military alike.
